Many here are saying how underrated Costello is. This isn’t the case in the U.K. where it is pretty universally agreed he is amongst the strongest of songwriters. His ability with words and wordplay is foremost in this but his way with melody and harmonic structure is also highly regarded. So is this a transatlantic issue to do with a lack of recognition in the States?
