Never knew this one but cry me a river wasthe one i knew from 1983.But this one is a typical 80s pop tune.Electro music was a new phenomenom, the 60s, 70s quitar was competing seriously with this stuff.

This Is One Of The Best Songs Of Old Time I Grew Up And Listen Too And Mari Wilson Is One Of My Good Friends As Well And She Always Be Number One To Me And That Is True Well Done Mari Wilson
There were two really catch songs in the charts in September 1982 which have been pretty much forgotten about: this was one of them, the other was Saddle Up by David Christie.
love that last assault on the drums, like one of the backing singers got carried away with their gesticulations to the routine and backed into the drum kit, knocking it over lol. Love this, such a happy feelgood tune. Remember Mari recording a jingle for Mike Read based on it - Mike Read...just what I always wanted! Er, no ta.

Tip top stuff!! Really smart. Playing with gender stereotypes in a really cool way. And the best thing about it is the song!
Susan Taylor
Great song and voice

I still love this tune. It was Number 8 when I was just 5 years and I can still remember her performing this on TOTP and Pebble Mill at One!
