this was what was great about music at the time - even if you werent a punk fan you had a variety of other music genres in the chart at the time and you would like something. a collective family experience around the TV watching TOTP at this time was great as each of the family could moan about a song and then like the next. Disco, reggae, funk, soul, punk, etc
