I was 20 when I discovered the Chills and other NZ Bands. I heard them on a special radio show on monday nightsin Germany, named "The ball is round". It was so difficult back then to order an Album, but there was this guy in that little music shop who had similar taste in music and he ordered them all for me: The Chills, Headless Chickens, Tall Dwarfs, Chris Knox, the Bats, I was in heaven and still happy to have all these tunes on records. The New Zealand music was so unique and different than anything I´ve heard before and I still love the sound.
